Pipe, flanges and fittings for Subsea applications have become something of a speciality for Linvic over the years. The particularly difficult duties and increasingly onerous project specifications involved demand knowledge, experience and skills for which Linvic is renowned in this particular market (click here to see our Project List).

The use of high yield steels (F52, F60, F65, F70) and equivalent pipe and fitting grades give substantial advantages in many areas of application, but the relationships between size, chemical properties, yield strengths and impact values can be problematic. As we specialise in this area we have lots of experience which benefits our clients. At any one time we would expect to have several hundred tonnes of these grades of material in our stocks, ready for manufacture. In this niche market we also often supply CLAD (sometimes called inlaid or overlaid) items, where areas of the items are clad with Alloy 625 (or some other) material. We have a full range of weld procedures, already approved by Third Party, and are aware of the possible difficulties and pitfalls of the process.

Swivel Ring Flanges (click here to see more) are a significant area of expertise for Linvic. We have a standard range, designed to standard criteria, but more often than not design and manufacture to the Project’s particular requirement, taking into account not only pressure and temperature, but also other moments and forces applicable to the installation.

We are used to supplying, on request, a full documentation package which can include:

• Design Calculations
• Quality/Inspection + Test Plan
• Written procedures for Forging, Heat Treatment, Non-Destructive Testing, Cladding,
• Marking etc. for approval prior to manufacturing.

In order to satisfy the complete brief we will also, if required :

• Fabricate (spools etc.)
• Pressure Test
• Certify to 3.2 level using accredited Third Part Inspectorates
• Coat the items to an agreed specification.
